Framezilla was concept that was dreamt up in 2001. After working in frame shops and galleries throughout the country, Amanda was inspired to open a shop of her own that would push the boundaries of custom framing. With Pittsburgh’s developing urban scene, she knew it’d be the perfect place to embrace this concept.
In 2009 she had the opportunity to open a shop called Steel City Framing with a business partner. After parting with him in 2011, she remodeled the shop, changed the name and Framezilla began to finally take shape.
After 13 years of business, Framezilla continues to be one of the most forward thinking shops in Pittsburgh. They are one of the only framers in the area that can handle both retail and large-scale commercial jobs with ease. They love a challenge and are eagerly awaiting what you will bring in next!
